Zusammenfassung
Während eines Heimspiels von Borussia Dortmund kommen über 80.000 Menschen auf engstem Raum zusammen. Die damit einhergehende komplexe Vielschichtigkeit der Kommunikation bleibt für Einzelne oft undurchschaubar. Ein positives Sicherheitsgefühl kann in einem solchen Setting erheblich beeinträchtigt sein. Es besteht jedoch die Annahme, dass eine solche Beeinträchtigung nicht im Sinne des Systems ist. Daher wird in der Analyse das Ziel verfolgt, ein besseres Verständnis für die Voraussetzung eines positiven Sicherheitserlebens während eines Stadionbesuches zu entwickeln. Angelehnt an die Luhmann’sche Systemtheorie und unter Einbezug des sozialen Phänomens Vertrauen wird sich auf diese Weise der Vielschichtigkeit der Faktoren eines positiven Sicherheitsgefühls gewidmet, sodass folgende Fragestellung beantwortet wird: Welche Faktoren können das Sicherheitsempfinden der Stadionbesucher:innen im Rahmen des Stadionbesuchs im Signal Iduna Park positiv beeinflussen und welche Bedeutung kommt hierbei der sicherheitsrelevanten Kommunikation des Fußballclubs als Veranstalter zu? Das Phänomen wird anhand der Ergebnisse von 33 qualitativen, problemorientierten Interviews mit Stadionbesucher:innen des Signal Iduna Parks genauso wie anhand der Antworten zweier Repräsentant:innen des BVB eruiert. Die Befunde zeigen, dass ein positives Sicherheitsgefühl im Signal Iduna Park von einer Vielzahl miteinander verflochtener Faktoren beeinflusst wird. Diese maßgeblich auf dem sozialen Phänomen des Vertrauens basierenden Faktoren können einander wechselseitig bedingen. Zusätzlich werden sie wesentlich durch das sicherheitsrelevante Kommunikationsangebot des Fußballvereins beeinflusst, welches die Grundlage für den Vertrauensaufbau bildet, auch wenn/ obgleich Reichweite und Intensität des Angebots unterschiedlich ausfallen.
Abstract
During a home game of Borussia Dortmund, over 81.000 people gather in close quarters. The complex and multifaceted nature of communication that accompanies this situation is often incomprehensible for individuals. Therefore, people visiting the games potentially impair a sense of security according to Luhmann’s system theory. However, it is assumed that such emotional impairment of a multitude of visitors is not in line with the systems intentions. Therefore, this analysis focuses on the question of which factors can positively influence a sense of security and safety for visitors during a stadium visit. Additionally, the analysis explores the significance of a security-related communication by the club as the organizer of these football games. The analysis is based on 33 qualitative, problem-centered interviews with stadium visitors of Signal Iduna Park, as well as two interviews with representatives of the club. Drawing on Luhmann’s System Theory, the results of the analysis illustrate that a positive sense of security and safety in Signal Iduna Park is influenced by a multitude of interrelated factors. These factors are significantly based on the social phenomenon of trust and can mutually reinforce each other. Moreover, these factors are significantly influenced by a safety-related communication, that is offered by Borussia Dortmund. As this communication can serve as a foundation for building any trust, it varies in intensity and scope.
